Is Dysfunction Too Kind??? PDF Print E-mail

Over the past several years the New York State Legislature has been referred to as the most dysfunctional legislature in the country.  However, after the past several weeks of watching the State Senate and the circus it has become, one might wonder is dysfunction too kind?

Just to recap, the Senate has not completed the tasks for which they were hired.

Senators are refusing to show up for work.

Senators are participating in destructive conduct which jeopardizes the welfare of the citizens of New York.

Senators are in open violation of their oath of office.

Senators have shown contempt for judicial intervention.

I'm sure there's more but you get the point.  By any measure the New York State Senate, and the Legislature by extension has gone far beyond dysfunction.  The conduct of the Senate and each Senator must now be analyzed for criminal conduct.  Under the state laws governing the conduct of elected officials and the public officers laws, it is not possible that the citizens of New York have no alternative but to allow this destructive behavior to continue.

In any private company this behaviour would have long ago resulted in the termination of the guilty.  Is it too much to ask the Governor or possibly the courts to declare the offices vacated and call for a special election to replace all of them?  I for one would welcome such a declaration and I intend to research it's possibility.

We deserve better than the criminal side show we have been afflicted with over the past several weeks and the non-responsiveness and incompetence of the past generation.  If you are as frustrated as I am over the destruction of liberty and the confiscation of your wealth by these criminals then join the fight and register to help Primary Challenge replace each and every one of them.
